Bill passed joyfully into the arms of Jesus at 5:07 AM, April 13, 2021, in Harlingen TX. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert 'Robby' Bruce Weeks. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Alyce Hampton, three wonderful grandchildren: Jack William Abrahamson of Little Rock, Diana Alisha McDaniel of Fayetteville, Summer Dawn Norris-Coggins of Fort Smith, and nine great-grandchildren. His nephews' and nieces' lives have been forever touched by "Uncle Bunny". His remaining and adored sister, Babe, will miss him deeply.
Bill was a graduate of Fort Smith High School. Class of 1953. He was a member of Allied Youth, Boys' Glee Club, and the Senior Council.
His happiest moments were spent in service with the Air National Guard 188th Wing, Ebbing Air Force Base, Fort Smith AR. Rising from a Private "No Class" (his words) to Executive Support Staff then to Organizational Commander was the pride of his life. He often said, "Sharon, they all made me look good.". My dad knew we are all only as successful as those who surround us.
