Sandra Lee Swofford

Sandra Lee Swofford, 75, of Fort Smith, died December 28, 2017 in Fort Smith. She was born September 21, 1942 in Van Buren, Arkansas to Ray Brooksure and Catherine Moore Brunk. She was a retired employee of Arkansas Best Freight, a member of Sparks Regional Medical Center Guild, a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Fort Smith where she taught Sunday school for 40 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Smith and husband Kyle of Fort Smith and Carrie Massey and husband Howard of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Sharon Norgaar of Van Buren; one brother, Ray Brunk of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Cole Smith and Sydney Massey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Swofford.

Graveside service will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Sandra may be viewed Thursday from 8am-5pm at the Funeral Home and 8am til service time on Friday. No formal visitation will be held.

Memorials may be made to the University of Arkansas Fort Smith or the Fort Smith Girls Club.
