Ronald W. Simpson, 77, of Barling, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1945 to the late Eland and Evelyn (Bordeaux) Simpson. Ronald was a retired meat market manager for CV Foods. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Smith and served in a postal unit with the U.S. Army Reserves. Ronald was a laid back, friendly, kind person who enjoyed cutting jokes and spending time with his family.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 9:00 AM. Interment will be at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City.
He is survived by his wife Julia, of the home; three daughters, Sarah Lynn Barton (Kirby) of Springdale, Lorie Bell (Stephen) of Bixby, OK and Kelley Fitting (Jonathan) of Arlington, TX; a sister, Judy Day (Bill) of Roland, OK; nine grandchildren, Tyler and Braedan Barton, Sydney, Baylor, Dawson, London and Sawyer Bell, Hunter and Katelyn Fitting.
Pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
