Patricia Releford-Mays

Patricia Ann Releford-Mays, 60, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday February 10, 2017. She was born October 27, 1956 in Fort Smith. She was an assistant Vice President for BancorpSouth in Van Buren. Mays is a Fort Smith native and a graduate of Northside High School. She attended Westark Community College and has completed a number of American Institute of Banking Courses. She is active with Partners-In-Education, United Way and currently serves as Van Buren School District Education Foundation Board. She is a member of New Covenant International Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner Mays, Jr.; her parents, Paul Fredrick Releford and Esteller Valerie Releford Eubanks; a sister, Helen Carter; and a brother, Paul Releford, Jr.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2017, at New Covenant International Christian Church at 4400 North N Street in Fort Smith with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by her sons, Bryant Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Terrill Alston of Conway, AR, Andrew Alston, Sr. of Fort Campbell, KY and Warner Mays III of Hope, AR; her sisters, Mildred Releford, LaDonna Jackson and Myra Releford, all Fort Smith; her brothers, Joe Nathan Releford, Billy Joe Releford, Michael Releford and Gary Releford, all of Fort Smith; and her grandchildren, Taliah Johnson, Sajdah Johnson, Andrew Alston, Jr., Tatiana Alston, Aubree and Camdyn Alston.

The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
