Naomi Russell

Wilma Naomi Russell, 90, of Arkoma, OK, passed away Wednesday March 16, 2011. She was born March 23, 1920 in Broken Arrow, OK to Will and Lucy Evans. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church of Arkoma for over 40 years. Naomi’s favorite hobby was cooking. She enjoyed cooking for her friends and community. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents Will and Lucy Evans and son Donald Wayne “Buck” Bryant.

Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2011, at New Hope Cemetery near Spiro, OK under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

She is survived by two daughters Glenda Rogers and husband Billy Jack of Braden Bottoms, OK and Connie Marchant of Fort Gibson, OK, two sons Bill Gupton and wife Sharon of Las Vegas, NV and Charles “Chuck” Russell and wife Sharon of Arkoma, OK, one sister Shirley Humphries of Broken Arrow, OK, numerous grandchildren, great grand children and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Viewing will be Friday from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon at the Funeral Home.
