Marlene Tucker, 83 of Fort Smith, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016. She was born March 8, 1933 to the late Raymond and Bessie Putman. She was a retired RN from Sparks Regional Medical Center. Marlene will be most remembered for her love and passion for all things pertaining to nature. She had so much love for birds, trees, and plants of all kinds. She also loved genealogy and never stopped the pursuit of knowledge regarding past family generations. She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ and will be joining “her Paul” in their eternal home. Marlene was a member of the Fort Smith Antique Automobile Club for a large part of her adult years. We will miss her grace, strength and quiet, gentle spirit until we see her again.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Partin and her husband Jerry, of Oklahoma City; a son, Stan Tucker of Fort Smith; a sister, Melba Griffin of Sachse, Texas; four grandchildren, Kylee McFarland and her husband Chase, Eric Partin, Jolie Tucker and Putman Tucker and two great grandchildren, Addison McFarland and Chesnee McFarland.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Big Fork, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
Viewing will be from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
