Grace L. Hodges

Grace L. Hodges, 72, of Lavaca, AR, entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2010. She was born February 5, 1938 in Fort Smith, AR to James and Myrtle Miller Brown. She was a seamstress for Virginia Furniture and was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Poteau, OK.

She is survived by her husband; Rev. Delbert Hodges Sr. of Lavaca, 1 daughter; DeLaina McGee and her husband David, of Lavaca, 2 sons; David Hodges and his wife Sheila of Lavaca, and Delbert Hodges Jr. and his wife Becky of Greenwood, 3 brothers; James Brown Jr. of Pocola, OK, George Brown of Fort Smith, and Herbert Brown of Lavaca, 5 grandchildren; Mindy Mondragon and husband Juan, Lee Ann Strickland and husband Jamie, Leslie Holland and husband Matt, Jill Teague and husband D.J., Derrick Hodges and wife Erica, 4 great-grandchildren; Carlos, Faith, Gracie, and Remington. Grace is also survived by 3 special friends; Mildred Crawford, Phyllis Brown, and Barbie Hodges, as well as her special care giver; Teresa Griffith.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Central Freewill Baptist Church in Central City, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home, with burial in Mayberry cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Friday, November 26, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Wes and Quade Moore, Quinton Brown, Juan Mondragon, Jamie Strickland, Derrick Hodges, Matt Holland, and D.J. Teague.
