Gail Diane Smotherman

Gail Diane Smotherman, 68 of Fort Smith passed away on December 18, 2014. She was born December 12, 1946 in Fort Smith to the late Howard Little and Gladys Marquess. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family, watching the Arkansas Razorbacks and home shopping.

She leaves behind her husband of 50 years Hoyt Ray Smotherman, daughter Angie Moe and son in-law Thomas Moe of Fort Smith, son James Smotherman and daughter in-law Julie Smotherman of Hollister, Mo, five sisters and one brother, Becky Lawrence of Arkoma, Pam Thomas of Van Buren, Sandy Watkins of Fort Smith, Karen Bull of Fort Smith, Robin Moneypenny of Little Rock and Bud Little of Arkoma, three grandsons Derrick Smotherman, Tyler Smotherman and Ryan Smotherman and one great grandson Brently Smotherman all from Tecumseh, OK.

Pallbearers will be Michael Lawrence, Mark Lawrence, Mark Thomas, Blake Rogers, Jesse Little, Derrick Smotherman, Tyler Smotherman and Ryan Smotherman

Visitation will be on Monday December 22, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Funeral service will be at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 11:00 am with James Abbey officiating. Burial will be at the National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
