Diane Elizabeth Johnson, 74 of Sallisaw, OK, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born on September 2, 1950 in Van Buren, AR to the late Ralph Gillenwater and Betty Rhinehart Gillenwater. She was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by seven siblings.
She is survived by her companion, Recil Payton of Sallisaw, OK; her daughter, Terry Armstrong and Jack of Poteau, OK and two granddaughters, Tara Simington and Trent of Hackett, AR and Kaley Armstrong of Tulsa, OK. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services, cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith, AR. Interment of her ashes will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
