Dennis Russell Thurman, 76 of Fort Smith, AR, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born on February 12, 1948 to the late Russell L. Thurman and Marjorie Solt Thurman. Dennis had a long career as a salesman for Lawson Products. He was also an avid fisherman and a friend to all he met.
He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Harcastle and her husband Trevor, of Fort Smith, his son, Chad Thurman of Fayetteville, AR and his grandson, Henry Thurman.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Roebuck Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am in the Narthex, prior to the memorial service. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
