It is with saddened hearts that we say goodbye to our dear mother, Tillie Antoinette (Rogal) Bauman on June 27, 2024, at the age of 71 years. She was a fighter that battled all that was thrown her way.
Tillie was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan in November 1952. Being the youngest of Albert and Maria Rogal’s 10 children, Tillie was a bright, beautiful child that had a curious and adventurous side to her. She spoke fluent Polish and excelled in school. She fell in love with her high school sweetheart and later settled in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta where she raised her two children. She had a knack with numbers and worked in accounting for various organizations. Tillie spent countless hours maintaining an extremely manicured yard – never a weed in sight. She was especially proud of her wild lady slippers that she transplanted from her brother John’s farm. She loved to cook and host gatherings and could pinch a mean perogy. You never left her house hungry and more often than not, you left with an abundance of leftovers. She loved playing cards and spending time at the lake. The night was not complete until she heard the loons sing.
Tillie will be dearly missed by her son, Trevor (Raylene) Bauman; daughter, Jodie Bauman; grandsons, Jack and Charlie; brothers, Peter Rogal and Anthony Rogal; sisters, Cecilia Rogal, Alice Miazga, Annie (Brian) Cox, and Jean Struthers; sister-in-laws, Peggy Hunter and Ann Marie (Marcel) Desaulniers; brother-in-law, Tony (Cindy) Bauman; and an enormous number of nieces and nephews.
Tillie is predeceased by her husband, Dale (2022); son, Michael (1970); father, Albert (1976); mother, Maria (1992); brothers, Stanley (1932) and John (2013); and sister, Frances (2016).
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Fort Saskatchewan AB, on Thursday July 4, 2024 @ 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, give your loved ones an extra squeeze today.
