Ron and his wife, Marlene, celebrated nearly 50 years together. They had 6 children, all of whom admired their father. Ron was a deeply committed provider who dedicated his life to his family.
An avid reader of history, and studious lover of chess. A conversational expert with a humorous wit. Ron was a sophisticated man with a playful spirit.
Ron also spent 47 years in service of others; 34 years in Federal Corrections and 13 years in Provincial Corrections. He was passionate about his work, often emphasizing the importance of conveying dignity and respect for those he served.
Ron was an honorable man who will be remembered for his humor, wisdom, and unwavering kindness. In his 69 years, the number of lives he touched are countless.
Ron is predeceased by his 3 sons, Jeremy, Michael, and Robert Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; his children, Don, Brent, and Chelsea; son-in-law, Christopher, and his brother, Wayne.
Ron’s celebration of life will be at 1300h on Tuesday, November 5th, at All Saints' Anglican Cathedral, 10035 103 street NW, Edmonton, AB. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1200h-1245h. There are multiple parkades near the site.
Interment to follow in Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery, Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
