Evening Star, Buffalo Calf Woman, Thunder Bird Woman, Water Bird Woman
was born February, 19, 1972 in the old Indian Hospital in Fort Qu’Appelle. She passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024 at home.
Myrna is survived by her loving husband Andrew Floyd (my hunnie); her children: Dwayne, Chance, Daynen, Jayden, Kaitlynn (Blair), late Shinaya, Destiny, Teniesha, Layden, Lisa and her baby Graysen.
Myrna was predeceased by her parents David and Pearl Obey; late siblings: Sylvia, Tina, Marsha, Beverly, Conrad, Gordon and Joseph and late children.
Myrna is survived by her sisters: Brenda, Anita and Denise (Wilfred); adopted brother Raymond “Lee” (Annie) Obey and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too many to mention.
Myrna is a Residential School Survivor who devoted her time to her husband, children, family, friends and acquaintances. Myrna cherished everything and everyone with a kind heart. Myrna started at the Zelda Peigan Memorial Daycare as a child care attendant, then became director. Myrna had many big plans and instructions once she completed her degree in child care to run her own business. Myrna will forever be missed because of the impact she had for her community and all the many friends she has met during her life.
Myrna Ann Obey – Lavallee will never be forgotten.

Thank you to the staff of All Nations Healing Hospital, Pisikow Muskwa Healing Centre and dialysis unit for taking care of Myrna and becoming friends. The wake was held in the Pasqua Hall, Pasqua First Nation on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was in the Pasqua Hall on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., with Elder Melvin Lavallee officiating. The pallbearers were: Blair Gordon, Leonard Thomas, Steven Thomas, Terry Obey, Evan Obey and Joshua Obey. Honorary pallbearers are all who are in attendance. The interment followed in the Asham Beach Cemetery.
