Kay lived most of her almost 100 years in the Gillespie/Abernethy/Balcarres farming communities. Kay and Ed retired from the farm to live in Balcarres in 1974.
Kay loved people and her home was welcome to many and she was always ready to lend a helping hand. She served in several community organizations in the area.
Kay's family and friends were very special to her. We all remember her wonderful meals and baking, many visits and phone calls and genuine interest in everyone.
Everyone marvelled at Kay's wonderful memory and she was a wealth of information.
The Family thanks all of Mom's wonderful, faithful friends for all their visits and support. Thanks, also, to the wonderful, caring staff at the BICC for caring for Mom. She will be greatly missed by all.
A private family graveside service will be held Oct. 20 at Balcarres Cemetery. A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be 3-5PM Oct. 20 at Balcarres Lions Hall and open to all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: BICC Recreation Department, Box 340, Balcarres, SK, S0G 0C0
