Born in Madison, NJ he has been a resident of Fort Peirce, FL for the past 14 years, formerly of North Hutchinson Island, FL, originally moving from Englewood Cliffs, NJ in 1977.
Anthony was a United States Army veteran, serving in World War II. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver for 32 years in New Jersey. He was a member of the Elk Lodge and VFW in Fort Pierce, FL. Anthony was also a volunteer fireman in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.
Survivors include, daughter, Diane Sorrentino, of Spokane, WA and Toni Toniolo, of Merrimack, NH, 3 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren and one great grandson on the way. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Sorrentino.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
A visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 4:00-6:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, Fort Pierce, FL at 11:00am.
