William Joe Combs

27, 1943 in Richmond, Kentucky, to the late Ruby Combs-Poole and the

late Ottis Combs, he went home to be with his Lord Jesus at age 75 on

May 30, 2019 in Lehigh Acres, Florida.

William was married to Cynthia Burer-Combs in 1964.

William graduated from Southern Seminary (Boyce), Louisville KY;

Clear Creek Baptist College, Pineville KY;

Madison Central High, Richmond KY in 1962.

William worked at Standard Register until he began seminary

education.

William graduated from seminary and pastored several churches.

Pastor William “Bill” served Nettie Baptist Church, Nettie WV; Lords Town Baptist Church, Lords Town OH; Holland Glen Baptist Church Warren OH; Trinity Baptist Church Parma OH and

Trinity Baptist Church Cape Coral FL.

Retired from ministry as Chaplain at Fairview Hospital, Cleveland OH in

2010. William was an active member of Crossroads Baptist Church prior to his passing.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Combs, Jerry Combs, Gary Combs,

James Wilson Combs and sister, Joyce Combs-Loving. William is

survived by his sons, John William Combs (Georgine) and Martin Joe

Combs; sister, Laura Catherine Combs-Kindrick; and grandchildren,

Cassandra Joe Combs, Christopher Martin Combs, Joshua Caleb Combs

and Makayla Nicole Combs.

William is survived by his dear Aunt Flossie Minter.

There are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends from coast to coast.

William was a prayerful member of Christian Motorcyclists Association, Kings Way Riders in Fort Myers, FL.

Florida friends and family will gather together for a celebration of life officiated by Rev. David Gold; Friday, June 14th 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at Crossroads Baptist Church, 10721 Palm Beach Blvd Fort Myers, Florida, 33905. There will be a meal following the service.

Ohio friends and family will gather together for a celebration of life Friday, June 28th 2019 at 11am to 1pm at Parma Heights Baptist Church, 8972 W Ridgewood Dr. Parma Heights, Ohio 44130.
