Ward Raymond Jones

Ward Raymond Jones of Lehigh Acres Florida and formerly of Guilderland, NY passed away on Monday October 17, 2022, in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was born in Blenheim, NY on April 18, 1931, to Ward Raymond Jones and Evelyn Jones. Ward was a Korean War Veteran, he served in the U.S. Marines from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954. He retired in 1990, from Shearson Lehman Brothers, he was a lifelong member of The Masonic Lodge, a past Lt. Governor of Kiwanis. While serving as the President of the Guilderland Booster Club in the mid 1970’s, he was instrumental in funding the startup of the Guilderland Boys’ Lacrosse Program.

Ward is survived by his son, Jeffrey W. Jones (Carolyn “Lynn” Jones); Grandchildren: Jenna L. Davis (Joe E. McDonald), Josh G. Aliff, Paul A. Jones, Micaela G. Jones, Taylor C. Muztafago, and Olivia L. Muztafago; Great grandchildren: TJ Frank, Everly R. McDonald and Brooklynn J. McDonald, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Julia of 63 years, daughter, Pamela A. Aliff, and son in-law, Ken G. Aliff. The family truly thanks his dedicated and loving caregiver, Ann Marie Chin.

There will be no service per Ward’s request. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Hodges Funeral Home, in Ft. Myers, Florida.
