Julie Ann Ford

Julie was born to Arthur and Helen Young on July 8, 1942 in Lewistown, Il.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jane Young. She is survived by her five children Meg (Steve) Weichelt, Kerry (Craig) Kelley, Nick (Kelie) Ford, Amy (Chris) Hutt, and Kate (Dave) Davenport; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren as well as her siblings Liz (Tasso) Coin and Tom (Wendy) Young. She had a career as a computer programmer and systems analyst employed by CILCO Power and Light in Peoria, IL, United Airlines in Chicago, IL and Lee County Public Schools in Ft. Myers, FL – and later in life she loved to volunteer at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Ft. Myers, FL. Julie lived a full life enjoying her family, her many dogs and many friends. She traveled the world, loved a good bargain, fried oysters and an occasional gin and tonic! Julie passed away surrounded by her five children after a long illness. She will be dearly missed.

A funeral mass will be held at 4 pm on Saturday August 27 at St. Raphael’s Church on Fort Myers Beach, FL. Refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
