John Phillip Duff

John Phillip Duff, age 91, of Alva, Florida passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born in Iowa on February 29, 1932. He was a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps having served during the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the Disabled American Veterans. John was the owner/operator of Sunny Palm TV and Radio Shack. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

John is survived by his beloved wife of over 70 years, Lois; children: Sharon (Robert) Yoder and John (Felicia) Duff; grandchildren: Robert J. Yoder, Steven W. Yoder and John A. Duff; great grandchildren: Riley Yoder, Chloe Yoder and Isaac Zhang; sister, Janice Jacobson; and sisters-in-law: Audrey Whitney, Karen Throne, Marlene (Robert) Sorenson and Lola Duff. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Faith Lutheran Church in the Schmidt Chapel located at 705 Leeland Heights Blvd. E, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936. Lunch and refreshments to immediately follow the service in Sweatlock Hall located next to the large main chapel. Memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to the church or to Hope Hospice 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
