James is predeceased by his loving wife Marvetta Wilson (nee Broom); his son Ryan Wilson; and his parents, Dillie Wilson and Nelly Eubanks.
James is survived by his sons, Michael Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Alan Wilson, and James Wilson Jr., and his sisters, Jean Jones, Joanne Anders, and Ruth Morris.
James proudly served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962. Later in life James had a career in the farming and agriculture industry. James was a hard worker, a devoted father, and you never found him without a smile on his face.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, August 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park.
