Curtis E. Jankovitz, Jr., 65 of Fort Myers, Florida formerly of East Peoria, Illinois, left for the heavenly gardens to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 6, 2023 after fighting melanoma cancer for 1 year.
He was born on March 3, 1958, to Curtis and Helen Jankovitz of Peoria, Illinois. He had two special names. His family called him Gene while co-workers and friends referred to him as Curtis. His personality was the ultimate of both great names. A fun loving guy with great wit, love and kindness for all.
He graduated from Limestone High school where he was on the track team. He attended Edison State College for computer science.
His journey in Life consisted of being a Certified Mechanic, Operations Management, and Independent Contractor in the courier field. His hobbies were music, playing the guitar, marital arts, and writing. He was almost done with a novel that he had been working on for a few years, however time ran out.
Preceded in death by his father, Curtis E. Jankovitz, Sr., Sister, Karen Ann Jankovitz; Survived by his Significant Other of 33 years, Patricia A. Vail, her brother Michael Vail, Mother, Helen K. Coblentz, niece Nikya K. Haley and her husband Dan, Uncle Gerald Jankovitz and all of his loving cousins and friends.
To say the least, this great man will be missed by those who shared his journey in life!

A private memorial service and mass will be held at a later date.
