Carlos Noel Rivera-Silva was born on April 10, 1989 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He died March 20, 2021 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. He is survived by his parents, Ruth Duffer, and Carlos William Rivera-Silva, his step-dad, Rodney Nichols, his grandmother Joan Rivera-Silva, his siblings Sarah Rubio, Eric Rivera-Silva and Ashley Rivera-Silva, as well as many cousins, 4 nieces, and 3 nephews.
Carlos was an adventurer. He loved all things outdoors; hunting, air-boating, fishing, and mudding to name a few. He was a talented welder, and learned how to build complicated things at a young age. Carlos wasn’t a mushy guy, but he was deeply loyal. If he was on your team, he was with you for life. He had a soft spot for children, and he shared an incredible love for all animals with his mom. He was an epic story-teller. Everyone has at least one big fish story they can remember about him. His tall tales will be sorely missed. His heart was genuine and good.
Carlos lost his life doing what he loved. He went out in style, but he was taken too soon. His life is a reminder to let go of petty resentments, hold the ones you love closely, and to be aware of your surroundings while driving.
Carlos loved his mama above all.
