Arthur Henry Davis

July 20, 1941 – January 9 2022

Art passed away peacefully on Sunday January 9, 2022 at the age of 80 in Fort Myers FL. Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Davis. They were married June 24, 1965.

Art was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Davis and Helen Kelly Davis Hurst, foster parents, Glenn and Emily Brouse who lovingly raised him; children John Davis and Jennifer Bloomfield; brothers, Alvin and Allen Davis and sisters, Irma Taglieber, Barbara Davis, Thema Kerns and Ina Blubaugh. His brothers Albert and Neill survive him.

He also leaves behind his wife; loving children, Kathleen Barteck, Arthur Davis and Deb Ames loving grandchildren, Joseph Barteck III, Michael Barteck, Darien Davis, Johnathan Davis and Nathan Ames. He was always there for us when we needed him and set that example to follow. We will miss him and cherish all the special memories we shared with him.

Art was born in Elyria OH and graduated from Elyria High School in 1959. He served in the US Army in radio maintenance and as a wireman in Korea. His skills and training from the service led to his employment at Ohio Bell for 12 years. He became co-founder and owner of American Pride Services, a portable toilet sanitation company serving NE Ohio.

Art was a member of Mansfield Baptist Temple, where a memorial service will be conducted for him Saturday July 16, 2022 at 10AM.
