Andrew Kelly Kershaw

Andy was happiest on a boat with a fishing pole in his hand and someone he loved close by. Whether that was his boys, his wife, his brother or his best friend depended on the day and the type of fishing to be done.

He was kind and honest and so very hard working. He would tell you the truth even when you didn’t want to hear it.

He had a special way with dogs and never met one that he didn’t love, but Katie, our 10 year old yorkie, was his baby. She sat beside him and nursed him back to health after surgeries, chemo and radiation and she never willingly left his side.

He was strong and talented and could make just about anything with his hands. Even a chicken coop when he wasn’t too crazy about the idea of having chickens.

He worked as a Machinist for many years at Lamont’s Automotive Machine Shop before moving to Collier Machine in Naples. He ran his own shop, Aaim Engine Machine, from 1994-2006 on Fowler St. and then got an opportunity to apprentice in a woodworking shop where he found a true passion for building beautiful things.

He is loved and he will be missed but only for a while before we are brought together again. He said while he is waiting he will have to relearn backgammon so that he can play on the back of the “DillyBean” with Aunt Toots, Grandma and James.

Rest in peace Andy- Beloved husband, father, brother, friend and thank you so much for the time we shared!
