William Graf McCormick

William “Bill” Graf McCormick, age 83 of Lauderdale by the Sea, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Holy Cross Health. At the time of his passing Bill was in the hearts of those he loved the most.

Born in Orange, New Jersey on February 18, 1939, William was the son of the late Felix and Helen McCormick. On March 6, 1982, Bill was united in marriage with Anne resulting in a loving union of 40 years and many beautiful memories. Bill was a wonderful and generous husband and the love of Anne’s life. In his spare time Bill enjoyed the games of Golf, Basketball and Bocce Ball. Bill also enjoyed sailing and feeling the thrill of the water and wind. During his illness Bill’s Christian faith guided him and his family during this most difficult time.

Bill is survived by his wife, Anne McCormick; his son William B McCormick; daughter-in-law Laura McCormick; and his grandchildren, William Colin McCormick, Lucas McCormick and Christian McCormick; his sister Ann McCormick; and his nieces and nephew, Donald McCormick, Linda McCormick and Veronica Maccia; and his buddies, Bill Johansen, Duncan Sampson and Jeffrey Chapman. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Felix and Helen McCormick and his brother, Donald McCormick.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations in Bill’s memory be made to the American Heart Association (www.Heart.Org).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 at the KRAEER – FAIRCHILD FUNERAL HOME, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Burial will take place later in the spring in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford, Mass.
