Timothy Carl Garrison, 69, of Fort Lauderdale FL, passed away September 19th, 2020. He was born in Lafayette, IN on August 28th 1951 to Harold and Elvira Garrison. Mr. Garrison was married to David Williams of Long Island, New York and was his partner for 22 years and preceded him in death. Tim graduated from Ben Davis High school and then went to Purdue University for his undergraduate. He continued his advanced studies at Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis for his masters in medical genetics. He had a long, successful career in biological research and retired from Bayer Pharmaceuticals in West Haven CT, where he was a senior research scientist
Tim had a passion for dogs that began at early age that lead to him becoming a successful breeder and went on to be recognized AKC Judge. His local involvement extended to LGTBQ+ community where in combination with his love of singing, he joined the Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida. He also loved horticulture, was a prized gardener and kept orchids.
Tim’s parents and sister Jenny preceded him in death, he is survived by his children Nathan Garrison and Sarah Kelly, grandson Davin Empen, brothers John Garrison & his wife Bonnie, Thomas Garrison, and his brother Peter Garrison.
Due to the Corona Virus and the family’s concern for others, a memorial will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a worthy cause in Tim’s name
