 I   recall growing up in our little community[sandside]uncle stanley...banky was like a father figuer to all of us little children ,he  was the person anyone could approach ..could talk to .he will be sadly missed  by the entire community and here abroad.

my condolences to the family ....fret ..not for the bible says he is only asleep until the day of judgment..ps be strong for banky.

Every time you saw Bankie, he made you laugh. He helped to keep the stress away. You could never be sad around him, just the sound of his voice and what he said made you laugh.May his soul rest in peace.

Uncle Stanley you were a great man based on all that I have heard about you. I know a great void will be present in your absence. My condolences to all those who knew him.

Stanley devoted all his time to his nieces and nephews. He never had children of his own  but he fathered all the children. Hence, he would worry about having food on the table for the children and sending them to school.He also loved to tell stories to the children and so they enjoyed his company and the light moments they shared with him.

The entire community of Sandside sends condolences to the family. Bankie was loving, caring and kind. He cared much for his nieces and nephews especially when their parents went abroad.Bankie would also see to it that his nieces and nephews went to school or got a trade/skill. He also took good care of his mother, he was like a son and daughter to her. He never forgot his family and so whenever people from Jamaica visited abroad, he would always try to send something for his relatives in Jamaica that he knew would suit their lifestyle. I remember that he got the nickname Bankie because he was always the banker of pardner. He was also quite jovial. I will never forget going to crab bush and mango bush with him. He also loved to dance and he would take us with him and ensured we were safe. May his soul rest in peace.

Stanley was a genuine person. He was loving, caring and kind. He was more than a father and grandfather to my children and the children of others. He was exceptional! You will never find anyone like him. May his soul rest in peace.

Bankie was a light-hearted fellow. He made me feel special whenever I was around him and asked for me whenever he didn't see me for a long time. He was a comedian and so whenever I was on my way to visit my relatives in Sanside, I would look forward to seeing him. Even when he went abroad I would still inquire about him. God bless his family, may his soul rest in peace.

Bankie was very caring, faithful and hard-working. He was a father figure for his nieces and nephews. Hence,he was always looking after them and  'him always a run a big pot', cooking for everyone. He was also big on education, always encouraging his nieces and nephews to pursue educational activities. In addition, he enjoyed telling anancy stories to the children. He was fun to be around. May his soul rest in peace.

When Banky was around you were never depressed.He was the comedian in the community. When he tickled us,we would call him Mother Pookie. He was also quite helpful and so when mamma began working at the hospital, he would always babysit. He will be truly missed.

It was good to have known him and I pray that his soul will rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family.  Relish in your fondest memories of Stanley and celebrate his life.  May God bless you all in this time of bereavement.

How does one go on to the next chapter.How do I turn the page? Do I console myself by quoting scriptures like Ecclesiastes 3, verses 1 and 2. I 
know that for everything there is season; we must die one day for it is a surety for every man but how do we mourn him who has shaped our lives in more ways than we dare to say?
 I salute one of the greatest that ever walked this earth. He wasn't a pastor nor a politician nor an educator nor a doctor nor a psychiatrist nor a professor of history or philosophy. He however had to assume one of these roles to accomodate or facilitate those he encountered daily. 
 I grieve not only for his death but that however wise or foolish, great or small the same happen to us all. Like Solomon I must say all is vanity and vexation of spirit. May he find an eternal resting place in Christ and by God's grace we can meet on the sea of glass

My condolences goes out to the family from what I heard he was a wonderful man, He's with the Angeles now, I know your greiving but in time it will get better.the family is in my prayers! !!

Mr. Stanley, you were a kind and genuine person, very thoughtful and caring, you saw the best in people no matter who they were or where they came from. It is such a good quality. You will be sadly missed by those who know you. Rest in Peace.

To the family of Bankie,we the Grants want to extend our condolence,and pray that God will give streangth and comfort to tou all in this time of bereavement. we pray that the peace of god will rest upon you all.

I was saddened when I heard of Bankie's death but I took solace in the fact that he has gone to a better place. I will always have fond memories of Bankie. The last time I was in Florida, it was for Tamieka’s wedding when I saw him. Even though you could see he was ill that did not take away from him being the jovial and fun loving person he was. Wen a seh, "Bankie waah gwaan" him seh, "a who dat Ju Ju? waah gwaan gyal, a how miss Ashley? (My Daughter) a ongle ope oonu a treat har good because mi nuh wah mi cuzen hart tek har" (Referring to Ms. Easter, my Mother). And with that he regaled us with laughter about fond memories we had back in Jamaica. One such memory that immediately came to my mind was when I was a child and use to visit their family house in Sandside especially when I knew that their food pot would soon be ready. I would call "Bankie, hole di daag dem", he would say, "mek di daag dem bite yuh so dat wen evrybady a talk bout dem experience with daag yuh ave sinting fi seh."

The house at Plantation will never be the same without Bankie, the big pot of food and the warm welcome that always awaits us. To Ms. Ivy, Ma Sie, Aunt May, Little Miss, Sawyer and all the grand kids, I quote from Psalms 125 "Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion that cannot be moved."

Caring so much that he kept warning:
“Do all you can for the Father because the end is near”

The man who always wanted to see and hear that others are happy
“Pally come wid all weh yuh carry from Town, for me hear seh yuh win di money”.
We would laugh together; then I would share my struggles and pain.
 And Bankie would say, “Noh worry, mi cousin. One day, one day life will change”

I know without a shadow of doubt that by God’s grace we will meet on that Beautiful Shore – to sit with Moses and the Lamb of God.

Uncle Bankie meant so much to me, he did more than words could express. He treated me the way a father would have treated his son.

My fondest memories of Bankie are the telephone conversations we had whenever I called to touch base with the family in Plantation, Fl.  He would always remind me: “Melo, if money wus a ’ouse, mi woulda live outa doo’.”  The man he was - he always referenced this statement by first saying: “As Enos would seh….” We always had a good laugh.  

And while I am aware that death is a very real part of life, maybe a part of me felt that he would always be with us.  I just never thought of him passing… not even while he was ill. I am happy that on one occasion I had the opportunity to assure him that although I was a little girl in Jamaica, I remembered…
And I still remember…  You see, I remember a Bankie like no other – 

THE INDUSTRIOUS BANKIE:  The man who worked very hard at FIDCO in Jamaica, to ensure his family was okay.  His nieces and nephews were “his children”.  Bankie worked like a good father should - to make sure there was food on the table.  On his return to St. Mary each week, he worked to ensure the home was in good order.

BANKIE, THE ECONOMIST:  The man who helped his mother (Miss Ivy) and his sister (Ma Sie) to analyze how the available resources would be “stretched” to ensure there was enough for food, school fee, lunch money and utilities during his absence.

BANKIE, THE DISCIPLINARIAN:  The man who on returning each week from Kingston would ensure that any and every kind of bad behavior by “his children” during his absence was addressed.

I admire the way he loved his nieces and nephews.  For me, he could not have loved them anymore if they were his biological children.  He cared, he shared and he loved - the best way he knew how.

Bankie, you were special
Such a joy to be around
You were an exemplary father
When good fathers can’t be found

I’ll cherish the moments we shared
The laughter that you gave
The memories I have of you
Will last beyond the grave

May your soul rest in peace.

Bankie you will always be in my heart. Your love, joy, kindness and peace will be treasured. I write this with tears in my eyes because only God knows how it feels to lose someone like you. It was just the other day we were talking not knowing that that was my last conversation with you. May your soul Rest In Peace, I know God will take great care of you. My condolences to the rest of the family.

I would like to offer my condolences to the entire family. I will always have fond and joyful memories of you Banky.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to see you again. It will be a memory that I will treasure.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I want to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the family on the loss of a dear son, brother, uncle, and friend.  Although its difficult to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you all tomorrow.
