“Bob” was born in Springfield, Ohio to the late Marjorie Endter and John Wing. He was a proud graduate of Wittenberg University where he played basketball for four years and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. After serving in the US Army, Bob moved to New York City to train on Wall Street as a stockbroker. In 1959, he married his love, Maryanne, and moved to Fort Lauderdale where they raised two children, Marjorie Anne and Christopher. He was a local stockbroker for more than 40 years, and a member of the Lions Club and Touchdown Club.
He is survived by his wife, Maryanne, daughter Marjorie Anne Garland (Bob), and son Christopher Wing (Ana). “Pop” loved his grandchildren Leigh Andrew, Jamie and Christopher Wing, Krystal Wallick, James Runnebaum, and great granddaughter Anabelle Wallick. He also cherished his relationship with cousin Stephanie Walsh, her husband Tom and son, Tom Jr. When memories of “Winger” come to mind, we will certainly smile, laugh and remember how much we miss him. In lieu of flowers, friends can make memorial contributions to Gold Coast Hospice, 309 SE 18 Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.
Arrangements under the direction of Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
