To Bobs' family, I am sorry for your loss.  Bob was a friend and mentor to me for a lot of years.  It was nice to see all the family that he enjoyed and treasured, in his later life.

My Daddy's life also included his family of parents, siblings and a nephew who were there to greet him in heaven. He is survived by his own kinfolk including myself, his grandson Robert Lewis Gundy, and beloved nephews and nieces. He was raised in a Christian household in NC, a place near and dear to his heart and spirit. Although he was forcibly kept away from his true blood family in the final years of his life, we will remember him with happy hearts for the wise,  generous, kind man that he was, back in the day when his life and loves were of his own choosing.

Tuve la oportunidad de conocer al Sr. Robert y escuchar sus charlas cuando estudio y trabajo en Puebla, a través de ellas observé un gran ejemplo de dedicación y gusto por su trabajo y  un gran sentimiento de amor a su familia y a la vida.

Dear Bumgarner Family,

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Bob & Carla came into our lives about 4 years ago. Bob was a wonderful man. It was a pleasure knowing him. It was very touching the way he and Carla were so good to each other. I admire the way you both faced adversity and the positive spirit you took towards everything life handed you. Thank you for the many smiles you have brought to me and Ken. May your memories of such a good man be a source of lasting comfort. We are here for you if there's anything we can do to help. We will miss Bob.

I met Bob and Carla in Fort Lauderdale many years ago. Bob was a quite, gentle sole who shared his ideals in a thoughtful way. Bob was humble and showed so much love for Carla. I will miss Bob!  Michael
