Radcliffe “Gary” McKenzie died the morning of September 30th, 2015 at home with his family at his bedside at the tender age of 45. The eldest son of Audrey Jumpp-Smart, Radcliffe was born in Kingston, Jamaica on January 6th 1970. He attended St. Andrews Technical High School “STATS” and University of Technology “UTEC” (formally known as College of Arts Science and Technology “CAST”) and subsequently taught at Dunoon Technical High school prior to migrating to the USA.
Radcliffe married a young lady he met at “CAST”—Carlene Bennett, in 1995 and they have three beloved children. Gary excelled in the fields of Real Estate and Insurance. After getting years of experience working for several Insurance agencies, he launched his own agency approximately five years ago. An avid amateur photographer— he took pictures of his children playing sports; band concerts, flowers, sunsets and travel photos. After entrusting his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Gary developed a passion for giving his time and talents to help the poor in Broward and Dade County. He served at the American Cancer Society, Hope Ministries, and many other local charities.
Radcliffe “Gary” McKenzie is survived by his wife: Carlene “Judy” McKenzie; sons: Gary Jody McKenzie & Greg Jordon McKenzie; daughter: Jessica McKenzie; Mother: Audrey Jumpp-Smart; Father: Douglas McKenzie; Stepfather: Earl Smart; as well as beloved brothers, sisters, aunts, cousins, niece, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, Radcliffe requested donations be made to his children’s scholarship fund.
