Omg i just heard about Mr. Mike passing away.. He was a truly amazing person, i knew him for a short period of time but is enough to say that he was a wonderful man.. I still can believe it.. GOD bless you Mr. Mike, for you honesty and pureness of heart shall never be forgotten ...

I just heard about Mike's passing and am very saddened to hear it.  

The last time I saw Mike will be my favorite memory of him: we were at the Pride Festival in Wilton Manors and he was so kind and generous to everyone.

You will be missed, Mike, by everyone in Wilton Manors.

Daniel and I have known Michael for almost 25 years. We dearly loved him and will miss him so much. Many things went through my head as I sat in the service on Monday; he was truly an amazing man, he loved much and freely, he made each person who spoke about him and the many who sat quietly weeping feel like they were his very best friends. He had a depth about him that is rare. We lost a treasure, how we wish we had more time with him. I can just imagine his delight in heaven. We are going to remember the great times; Beth Yeshua band, hanging out in the hot tub, working on each others homes, horseback riding, the Biltmore Estate, expensive wines with his personal labels on them, "Danny Luna Bars", and even the hurricane work and not wanting to disappoint him. He offered us so much of his life, we will miss him.

Dearest Curtin Family and Friends, 
I'd like to quote from a movie called "Benjamin Button": "You are made to lose the ones you love because than you know how important they are to you". I thought how appropriate since Michael was  a walking Novel, I never met such a well read man and I don't think he ever missed a movie and in fact, I think he saw about every movie before anyone else ever saw it hit the big screen...imagine that. If Mike were here today writing a personalization for someone, I know he'd be quoting from many great novels!  When I saw your library of books, my mouth dropped to the floor! That is one trait that made you so amazing, your thirst for "the imagination" and of course knowledge on just about any subject...Even riding horses for the first time! When you dove into something, you always went all the way and dove in as deep as possible. Mike, we were neighbors, friends, a business client,  our sons shared many laughters together and I promise you that will continue. We rode horses together and did business deals off horse back...I'll never forget those days. I'll also never forget that you could make a circus act out of riding and also get hurt and you could play basketball with us in the driveway and manage to get hurt...but you were such a great sport about it...that's why you were loved so much by so many. I remember you giving me motivational parenting books for the children, talked to us about God out on our patio...I could go on and on about the great person you were and such a great influence you have been..just know we will greatly miss you and I promise to watch over Greg...we are so proud of Greg and the fine young man he has turned out to be and also Hillary....she is so emotional yet so strong like her mother! The things I hope you knew..

Mike you were an inspiration, mentor and friend to so many people. No words can express the loss our family has felt over your passing. As a mother I could never express my gratitude for your friendship and mentoring of my sons, Jared and Peter. It will be a part of their lives always. Thank you for your kindness, friendship and above all your spirit of acceptance of everyone you came in contact with. I'm sure you now know "well done" you good and faithful servant!

I have had the privilege of knowing Mike Curtin professionally and as a friend for the last twenty years. He was a man of integrity who had respect for all regardless of their outer circumstances.  He judged people by what was inside their hearts and he himself had the heart to help everyone.  He leaves a great legacy in that he touched so many and from that each one carries a memory and an example of how to be a better person.  Thank you Michael. May we each honor your memory and have gratitude for God's blessings in our daily living here until we meet again.

Mike was one of my oldest and dearest friends. I met him when I was 17 while working at the South Shore Restaurant on Long Island- my first job in high school. I'm 46 now and I'm so thankful that I had Mike in my life all these years. It deeply saddens me that he is no longer with us. I will miss you terribly Mike.  You were a great friend.  A warm, loving, generous, gifted human being with a great sense of humor. I treasure the last time you visited me in Los Angeles and we had such a great time at the movie premiere. You will be missed by so many people as you were an inspiration. Mike and i met over 20 years ago on a professional level but after moving to Florida I really got to know him.  My first impression was WOW he can do anything!  MJC&A proves it.  After working with him for many years we eventually became friends. Hillary & Greg, I'm sure you won't remember us, because you were too young when we all were at the same church in Coral Springs.  Your dad lead the music and had such a talent for singing.  We sang in a praise team with him at Bethesda Bible Church and I remember your mom pushing Greg in a stroller at the church. Your mom and I were involved in Morning Break, a ladies Bible study, weekly at the church, as well.  In 1994, our little church went altogether, near Ocala, to a camp for a weekend. I'll have to find that picture and scan it for youl  I think nearly our whole church went.  We serve an amazing God and I know that through these difficult days, weeks months and years ahead, that He is the only One who can give you the peace that Jesus gives. Thanks for the memories of Youth Group so many years ago.  I loved your fun and witty spirit! I'll never forget our competition memorizing scripture and our trip to Florida. You were a great young man who grew up to be just as fine a gentleman.  I wish we kept more in touch over the years.  My prayers are forever with your family!

We are so saddened by your passing but take deep comfort in knowing that you are in God's Kingdom.  One of my greatest memories comes from when you were a waiter at the Seascape in Bay Shore  and use to come over every Saturday night on your dinner break to watch Star Trek.  My mom would inform us to leave you alone because it was your favorite show.  After your break you would drive off in your brown Chevy Nova.  The only real "Trekkie" I have ever known.
