Mercedes was born in A Coruña, Spain, January 2, 1934. In the early 1960’s Mercedes, husband Luis and two young children, left her homeland Galicia, relatives and friends, and moved to the United States. They settled in New Jersey, and then moved to South Florida in 1969.
Mercedes was a strong-willed woman, with an incredible strength to deal with life’s challenges. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate home, and loved her family dearly.
She is preceded by her loving husband Luis and son Jose; survived by her daughters Merce and Linda; her grandchildren Summer, Jose, John, and Autumn; her ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mercedes will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 OLD DIXIE HWY, NARANJA, FL 33032.
