Mary Clevenger

Clevenger, Mary Jane “Jane” left this world on June 30, 2011 to join her precious mother and five beloved sisters and brothers, after a short battle with cancer. Born in Muncie, Indiana on February 27, 1926, Jane moved to South Florida in 1974 with her children and grandchildren, where she spent many years in management for Li’l General and Circle K Food Stores. She was a long-standing member of the Royal Chessmen, where she played the Dowager Duchess and, in recent years, the Queen Mum, and kept a loving eye on everyone’s possessions during performances. She is survived by her loving children, Marcia (Robert) Norris and Steven Clevenger; adoring grandchildren, Terri (Jerry) Benoit, Sherri Mathes and Sean Gahagan, four beautiful great granddaughters, April Gunness, Crystal Peterson, Shawna Peterson, and Kaitlyn Gahagan; and two precious great-great grandsons, Drake Gunness and Hayden Colby; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardesn 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Davie FL will handle arrangements. A memorial service and interment to be held in the Cremation Gardens on July 16, 2011 at 2:00PM.
