He was born in Cacocun Cuba, on July 4th 1929, the loving son of Julio Masferrer and Catalina Franco. He lived in Union City, NJ with his wife until they moved to Coconut Creek, Florida in 2009. Luis was an active member of the Freemason of New Jersey. Belonging to the M.W. Garden State Grand Lodge along with it's other appendage lodges and organizations. He was bestowed the honor of the 33rd degree in the Scottish Right on August 11th 1995. Other distinction within the fraternity were being elected as the Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge, Past Worshipful Master of Son of America Lodge, Past High Priest of the Royal Arch Masons and Past Potentate of the Shriner Lodge. Luis was an avid canary breeder through out his life. Since moving to Florida, he belonged to the Florida Bird Breeders Association where he bred award winning Stafford Canaries over the past years. His real passion was spending time with his sons, grandchildren, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosalina Masferrer. Luis was survived by his sons, Jorge Masferrer, Julio Masferrer & Dayline Masferrer(spouse); grandchildren, Laurenie, Natasha and Jules Masferrer. He also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
