Josiana Marie Walton passed away near her September birthday at the age of 63. She was born in Tampa Florida and graduated with a chemical engineering degree from University of South Florida. After graduation, she moved to Cincinnati and for many years worked on various Procter and Gamble products as a chemical engineer. She moved for a specific project to Virginia Beach for a few years where she enjoyed going to the beach and picked up a new hobby - fishing. She then went back to the University of Cincinnati to obtain a second engineering degree and master’s in computer engineering. Following her second degree she worked as a project manager in the banking industry. She then decided that she missed the Florida beaches and lifestyle and moved to Ft. Lauderdale and continued in the computer technology industry working remotely. Josie loved the beach, sea turtles, dolphins and had a flair for collecting mid-century modern furniture for her apartment. She traveled extensively in Europe, sometimes taking her mother along for the trip. She was an avid tennis player early on and followed tennis all her life.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, two brothers, sister and sister-in law and her nieces and nephew.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center turtle rescue in Boca Raton.
