Deborah Dunn Lutchkus, age 73, passed away on June 17, 2020, in her home surrounded by her loving family in Plantation, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Robert J. Dunn married to Bonnie Dunn, and the late Naomi J Dunn married to the late Guy F. Jordan.
Debbie was born on June 12, 1947 in West Chester, Pa, to parents Robert J. Dunn and Naomi J. Dunn. She graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Education in 1969 and received her Master’s in Education from Penn State University. She began her teaching career as a kindergarten teacher when she taught at Fulton Elementary School in Lancaster, Pa from 1969 to 1983. In 1984, she accepted a position as a kindergarten teacher at American Heritage, where she worked for more than 35 years as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and finally, as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She was a mentor to many and a friend to all. She enjoyed traveling, antiquing, going on adventures with the “ladies”, and spending time with her family.
Debbie is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Michael Lutchkus, she is survived by stepdaughter Kellie Stevenson, wife of Allen Stevenson of Atco, NJ, mother of Kristina (Betsy) Roxburgh wife of Brian J. Roxburgh, Reading, Pa, Katharine E. Lutchkus of Plantation, FL, and Sarah E. Lutchkus of Ocoee, Fl. There are four surviving grandchildren Bradley Stevenson of Egg Harbor City, NJ, Ryan Stevenson of Hammonton, NJ, Savana J. and Reese Roxburgh of Reading, PA. Debbie is survived by her sister Patricia A. Dunn, and her husband, David Weaver of Morrison Co., and her brother Robert S. Dunn of Lancaster, Pa.
Memorial services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens South , 2401 Davie Road, Davie, Florida 33317 on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
