I only knew Rick from the conferences we attended every year in September I loved every moment I got to have with Rick he was such a special person in my life.  He really took to my youngest daughter Courtney n he called her his little princess n told her that he had a daughter about her age n wanted them to meet but may not have that chance now.  He was such an inspiration to me I just adored Rick n I know he talked highly about me to his uncle Allan.  RIP my friend you will surely be missed at the next conferences I will attend it will not be the same without you my friend.  You may be gone but not forgotten you will have a special place in my heart.

Dear Rick, you have been a very special part of my life.  I will miss you deeply and will always remember you.  I know that you are in a good place and I know that I will see you again someday.  

Len, Corri and boys, I am so sorry for your loss.  He was a very good, kind person and will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Rick, you will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to all of your family and your children. Corri and Len, you raised a really good man. 
Sitting in the church last week and seeing how many lives you touched was so beautiful. You just loved and loved some more. Your uncle Allan was right, love is stronger than death. Your love, kindness, humour, genuine interest in people will go a long ways even though you're not with us anymore.
Thank you for the memories, the unconditional love, kindness, the special moments we shared over the years, the laughs and how you always, even in our adult lives, made me feel beautiful and special. Nobody has ever looked at me the way you did. I was reminiscing about our very first date all those years ago and how we thought we were alone in that theatre, when all of a sudden, your mom and little brother popped up in the seats in front of us. My friend, she looked out for you then and will always have your back. 
You will always be one in a million to me, Rick. There are no words for goodbye...

To Ricky's family, so sorry for your loss and I am sure we will be missed and I am so sorry to.    Catherine Ann McWatch.

Its been over a week and I still think of you, when its over a month I will still be thinking of you, when its a year tears will flow from my eyes, as years to come it will still be hard missing a big brother like you. Ricky you were the first to accept me as your (little) sister with your warm arms giving me a bear hug. You always treated females as princesses, males as heroes and families like gold. No matter the hard times that you've gone through you always had a big cherry smile on your face. All the memories of you will never be forgotten. Swimming back at the lake, or off the dock.Smoking a cirgarette with a coffe in our hands talking about life as we knew it back then. I am glad to have a big brother like you just the same as all our other brothers. I know you were gateful for the things everyone has done for you, but you touched us all in different waysbefore and after your surgery long ago. I know that I can only speak for myself, you made me feel like I was a princess. You taught me to be tough, strong and kind. You taught me to love unconditionally and man Ricky you are an amazing person. I will miss you forever and you will always be in my heart. I love you.

oh Rick.. visiting Fort Frances will never be the same without your face and your voice. Without your stories, without your playful bugging and the smile you give to let me know you are just joking around. To know that I am hurt this much... just hurts me even more when I think of your family.

I had a very pleasant dream about you last night. You and I won a photo booth contest for best picture. This of course was after you passed away. I started crying in my dream because I missed you and I was sad that you were gone. When I went to claim our prize, I saw you around the corner. You were sitting on a chair. The only words you spoke to me were, "It's okay, go ahead. Everything will be okay." I love you Rick. And I beleive you when you say everything is going to be okay. Farewell until we meet again.
