Jack was born March 21, 1964 in Fort Frances, ON to Elgin and Audrey Thomson.
Jack leaves behind his loving wife Marla, son Jason (Tara), grandchildren Treydon, Ashtyn, Caleb, and Kira, sisters Sheryl Laverdure (Fred), Lana Thomson, sister-in-law Bev Thomson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Elgin and Audrey Thomson and his brother Bob Thomson.
Jack began his work career as owner and operator of JET Cycle bicycle repair shop. He spent several years employed by our local pulp and paper mill advancing from the Shipping Department to Maintenance Supervisor. Jack ventured to project work in Fort McMurray, AB as Materials Procurement Coordinator. He then worked in Ear Falls EACOM Sawmill and most recently at Norbord Barwick OSB mill.
To know Jack was to love him. He was a man who enjoyed life and lived every minute to the fullest. He was the happiest when he was cruising the lake, having a family dinner, riding his Harley or simply puttering in his man cave dream garage.
Jack was a kind and caring man and would never turn down anyone who needed a helping hand. He loved his family unconditionally and adored animals of all kinds. He was known to feed the crows, squirrels and neighbor cat Thor.
Jack was a self taught ‘Jack’ of all trades, no project was too big or too complicated. If you gave him a manual he could build it, rebuild it, or motorize it whether it be a high-performance engine for his boat, constant home improvements or tinkering and enhancing his Harley motorcycle. He passed these skills on to his son and grandkids and had many plans for projects in his garage.
Jack touched many lives and will be loved and missed by everyone he knew.
