Daisy McInnis (nee Jackway)

Daisy was born on January 30, 1935 in Fort Frances, ON to William and Mary Daisy Jackway.

Daisy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

In her younger years Daisy worked at different camps in the Sioux Narrows area and briefly at the Fort Frances Jail until deciding to stay home and become a domestic engineer in which she was so proud to be called.

She loved her flowers, deck and yard. She would spend hours working on them to make it look so beautiful. Inside her home would be decorated for every occasion.

Daisy was a beautiful, loving woman who touched the hearts of many.

Daisy will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her 2 daughters Linda (Garry) Kruger or Upsala, ON and Patti (Don) Roth of Fort Frances, ON; 3 grandchildren Christina (Gerald) Harris of Upsala, ON, Trevor Kruger of Thunder Bay, ON and Randy Roth (Brittany Ziegler) of Barrie, ON; 3 great grandchildren Mikayla Harris, Madison Harris and Meagan Harris all of Upsala, ON; 2 sisters Shannon Jackway of Kentville, Nova Scotia and Esther (Ken) Hicks of Dryden, ON; sister friend Shirley Albert as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Daisy was predeceased by her father William Jackway; mother Mary Daisy Haas; stepfather William (Bill) Haas; husband James Stewart McInnis Jr; sister Helen McGowan; brothers Bob Jackway and Jack Jackway; great grandchild Joshua Harris.

A service of celebration and remembrance will be held on Saturday April 30, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, On with Pastor Brian Keffer officiating.

Honourary pallbearers will be Daisy’s grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
