Bud was born on December 29, 1932 to the late Armand and Laura Lambert. He lived in Fort Frances all of his life. After finishing school he joined the local paper mill and worked there for 28 years. In his youth, he had the distinction of being the very first delivery boy at Einer’s Foods where he delivered groceries all over town, and even during the winter months. And later, as a Baker at Rostie’s Bakery.
Bud brought those baking skills home and enjoyed making meat pies during the holidays and other delicious confections. And he was also a fantastic cook who passed on this knowledge to his children. Crêpes were his specialty.
He was united in marriage to Beatrice Michaud in March 1971. Together they raised three children Terry, Christine and Wayne.
Bud enjoyed reading and travelling and visited many places all over Canada and the United States.
His garage was his sanctuary and there was nothing he could not repair. Welding, plumbing, electrical and wood working were amongst his skill set. He was also a very good carver and enjoyed building very elaborate models of WWII Battleships.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Beatrice; children Terry, Christine and Wayne; grandchildren Abbey and Emery; siblings Gerard, Roy (Betty) and Norman (Edie) Lambert as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud was predeceased by his parents and brother Leo and sister-in-law Micheline.
Funeral mass was held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances, Ontario with his brother-in-law Father Gerald Michaud officiating.
