Sylvia Mitchell

Sylvia Mitchell née Kotecki- 100 years of age, of San Pedro, California-passed away on January 23, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 21, 1922 in Peru, IL. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Bernice née Chlebowski, and husband, William Mitchell; siblings that predeceased her Edmond, Felix, Genevieve, Henry and Alice. She is survived by her daughter Gail (Denny) and son Gary (Andrea), grandchildren, John, Joe (Tasha), Jeff Jaime), Bryan (Susan), Carin (Bill), Stephen (Nicole), and Jaclyn (JP). Great grandchildren, Brianna, Josh, JP, Peyton, Will, Jordan, Joey, Madison, Ava, Siena and Sadie. Sylvia was aunt to many nieces and nephews. She lived in Spring Valley until moving to Cicero, she then moved to Woodridge until moving to California. She will be missed by many family and friends.

Memorial mass will be celebrated Friday, July 7, 2023, at 11am at St. Bernardine Church, 7246 Harrison St., Forest Park, IL. Inurnment Woodlawn Memorial Park, 7750 W. Cermak Rd, Forest Park, IL. Info 708-442-8500.
