What sad news to hear of Jelyn's illness and passing!  I am still in shock, that such a sweet and vibrant person is gone.  I worked with Jelyn for many years as a nurse.  She was always positive, with a smile on her face and in her voice.  Never complaining, always kind.  The best nurse and co-worker.  It was a privilege to know her, rest in peace Jelyn.

Jelyn, a good friend, a caring and an excellent nurse, who dazzles with her amazing skills every time we worked together in the unit. A one of kind co-worker that I missed during my Kindred time. We always look forward to working with her every time. Rest easy Je! Now you are in God's loving arms. God has gained another angel up there, a nurse! We feel sad not seeing your human you but God knows your pain, so He took you back! Fly high our new Angel! We love and miss you Je!

Rest now my dear Friend Jelyn I call her Jelly , Will always  cherish the wonderful memories with you.  It was summer in the Philippines before we start our Freshman year in college for Nursing school  SPCI  When I first met her.  We were classmates . We finished our BSN and post graduation worked at SPH-Iloilo . She migrated to Chicago and back then kept in touch ,  She would  send me a card and even a gift  I remembered  she gave me a crossbody shoulder bag with Us coins inside for good luck  that brought so much joy . Not the gift but the thoughtfulness she put into it. Thats Jelyn . 
When my chance came I was able to follow my dream and landed a job in Joliet . Jelyn would be one of them who would call to check on me and even visited me in the back then remote suburb of Joliet.  She was there at my wedding was Zachs (my oldest) ninang. I would remember her as a genuine person and would speak her mind simple things keep her happy she likes to shop and she loves dining out with friends. Our favorite place to hang out OakBrook. These memories will remain in my heart Thank you Jel for those wonderful memories.  You are now in God’s Loving embrace no more pain, worries.

We have been friends since our Vencor days in 1997 and you showed me how a person can be very vibrant and full of life. 

We witnessed how she started her family and I was proud to be a Godmother to her daughter AJ. 

We were always part of each others special occasions until we had to move to Washington State. 

I cried when I heard of her diagnosis and prayed for her healing. I was hoping that she will  get through this…

I lost someone very dear to me when she passed.  We will all miss you and will always keep your memories in our hearts. 

Heaven gained another Angel. This is not our good byes, this is until we meet again… 

Goodbye Jelyn... You will never be forgotten....

The memories we had back in Chicago as my housemate,  searching for food in the middle of the night and driving with me to Boston with my 5 months old baby, working in ICU in St. Paul’s Hospital will be cherished forever. I will miss you… I will keep you close to my heart always!!

Condolences to Jelyn family and children. I worked with her at Kindred from 2001-2014. She was a good friend and coworker.   She always smiled and had a positive attitude. I remember when she was pregnant and I would make her sit in the chair and I’d roll her to the end of the hall. We would laugh so hard. I’m going to miss her soooooo much. I will always keep her in my heart.
