One of many fond memories I had of my Tia is when she used to always dress up as Santa Claus during Christmas times at my Abuelita Mica's house when we were little!... Loved that so much cuz we all were smirking and giggling knowing it was her.....🥰🥲 will never forget!💖

Dear Mrs. Gaspar's Family, 
I started working at Gary Elementary a year after my mom passed away, it has been 18 years since then. My mom was a saint and when I met Carmen she reminded me so much of my own mother.  Many times I compared her to my own mom.  They were both happy, positive, kind to everyone and very giving to others. It was always a pleasure to see and talk to her.  She would remember my birthday and bring me an apple or concha to work. I loved hearing her stories and how much she loved and was proud of her children.  She would tell me that she would give a speech during her birthday, I loved that about her. I am sure her traits have been passed on to her children. I was heartbroken to find out that she was sick and now that she has passed to a better life.  I send my deepest condolences to you. Unfortunately, I will not be able to join you during her service since I will be out of town. I will keep you all in my prayers. Descanse en paz Sra. Gaspar, la quiero mucho!

our condolence to the Gaspar Family, Mrs. Carmen Gaspar worked closely with Mayra Gomez-Santana former alumni of Joseph E. Gary School. Mrs. Gaspar worked collaborated with CPD/CAPS on various events for underprivileged families. Mrs. Gasper was a pillar in her Little Village Community.

My condolences to you this is so sad she was a devoted mother growing up to her kids. As a grammar school to Maria her mom always praised all her accomplishments in life. She work with my mom in Gary and my mom always. She was caring, funny, there was something about her she had this sunshine she brought with her always.

I refuse to believe such an amazing person is not with in us anymore. I had so much love for her as well as she shown love to me. Every year she got to choose from 1-3 kids so that Santa in school could give them a gift and every single year without a miss I was always got picked by her and she made sure I was one of the first ones to pick so that I could get a good gift. I have so many beautiful memories with her that will forever stay with me. La quiero mucho Mrs. Gaspar. My condolences go to her family💗 Perdimos a un gran ser humano pero obtuvimos a un hermoso ángel. Forever in my heart ❤️

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Gaspar family. Mrs Gaspar was truly an amazing woman a true angel a nurturing soul and at times a comforting shoulder to cry on.. I had the distinguished honor of being in her classrooms at Joseph E Gary elementary in the late 70's early 80's.  She will forever hold a special place in My heart as I am a better person for having known Mrs Gaspar. Thank you for sharing your amazing wife, Mother and grandmother.
