Walter J Franklin

Walter J Franklin, age 89, of Flushing, New York passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Reflective of the love he shared throughout his life, Walter was born Valentine's Day, February 14, 1933. Clear to all who knew him, nothing meant more to Walter than his beautiful family, for which he felt so much pride. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosemarie. Cherished father of Stephanie (Dennis) and Walter (Liza). Devoted grandfather of Chris and Jacquie. He was a veteran, lifelong New Yorker, and a selfless community member who was a shining example of what a husband, father, grandfather and friend should be. His kindness and warmth was felt by all who had the honor to know him.

A visitation for Walter will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home/ Quinn - Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral mass will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Kevin R.C. Church, 45-21 194th Street, Flushing, NY 11358. A committal service will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Fresh Meadows, NY 11365.
