12, 1961, in Queens, New York, to loving parents, Frank and Rose Discolo. Robert's educational journey
was marked by excellence and dedication. He graduated with distinction from St. John's University with
his undergraduate degree before pursuing his MBA at Pace University.
His commitment to academic and professional excellence led him to become a Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). His achievements were recognized by both
Holy Cross High School and Pace University, honoring him for his outstanding contributions and
dedication to his field.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Robert was a passionate sports enthusiast, traveling across the country
to watch his favorite team, the New York Mets. Additionally, he was an avid reader and baseball card
collector. He found joy in sharing his passions with his friends and family.
However, Robert's greatest source of pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted and loving father,
brother, and uncle, whose unwavering support and affection enriched the lives of those around him. His
kindness, generosity, and warm spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family will be receiving visitors on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Frederick Funeral Home, located at
192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11358. The wake and funeral will be held from 9:30 am to 10:00
am, with words of remembrance from 10:00am to 10:45am to celebrate Robert's life. A graveside service will then be conducted at11:00 am at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, located at 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, NY 11358.
The family will be sitting shiva at 16 Lavender Lane, Rye Brook, NY 10573, during the following times:
Saturday, March 23: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Sunday, March 24: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Monday, March 25: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Holy Cross High School in Flushing,
New York, in Robert's memory. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to live on in
the hearts of all who knew him. Robert will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family,
