Juanita Velazquez, age 92, born in Humacao, PR, May 29,1929. She passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, surrounded by her family in NY. Juanita was the daughter of the late Emilio Velazquez and late Pilar Flecha. She had 6 siblings and is survived by her brother Wilfred Velazquez, Angel Luis Velazquez and sister Lydia Almodovar. Juanita had 5 children and is survived by daughters Yolanda Santiago, Alicia DeCurtis, and son Luis Varela. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her best friend and sister-in-law Fela Almodovar.
* A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8th at 8:30 am at Fredericks Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY. Internment to follow at 1:15 pm at Saint Raymond Cemetery in the Bronx.
