Gennaro Stea

Gennaro Stea, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on May 8, 2024, at the age of 86. He was reunited in eternal peace with his late wife, Maria, whom he cherished deeply throughout their life together.

Gennaro was a devoted father to Lisa Russo (Anthony), Angela Clifford (Michael), and Peter Stea (Kristin). His love and guidance shaped their lives, and his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue through them.

As a grandfather, Gennaro adored his grandchildren: Jeremiah, Emma, Morgan, Taylor, Patrick, Emily, Lauren, and Isabella. He took great joy in spending time with them, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

Gennaro was also a dear brother to Michael and Vanna, and his presence in their lives brought them comfort and strength.

Gennaro had a passion for horses and the excitement of the racetrack, as well as a love for playing cards. These interests brought him joy and camaraderie with friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Gennaro's life at the Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, NY 11358 on Tuesday, May 14, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart RC Church , followed by entombment at Cypress Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated, honoring Gennaro's compassionate spirit and his desire to help others.

Gennaro Stea will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his love, kindness, and generosity. May he rest in peace.
