Brendan Barry, age 25, entered eternity on 21 April 2022. He is survived by his parents Maria and Stephen Barry of Fresh Meadows, New York, his sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Dillon Lowe of Knoxville, Tennessee and his grandfather Ernst Edel of Fresh Meadows, as well as loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Raised in Nanuet, New York Brendan was educated at St. Anthony’s School and then by the Jesuits at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey. As a boy he loved science, fishing, and watching old movies with his father as well as playing with his beloved Boston Terrier Jewels.
When the family moved back to Queens, he enjoyed riding his bicycle or skateboard in local parks and working on his art, as well as learning to bake with his Mom. He also became the proud and loving companion of a rescue dog Cole who provided him with great joy.
A gifted artist, an inquisitive mind, and a searcher for beauty and truth Brendan always provided love and support to those in need. Even beyond the grave his decision to be an organ donor ensures that his legacy will live on into the future.
