Barbara A. Fossett

Barbara Fossett was born and raised in Queens, NY. Barbara's career was in business management for a top insurance agency in Manhatten for over 2 decades. Barbara had relocated to New Jersey in the early '90's where she loved the scenery. She loved to donate her time and help others. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her friends and family. Shopping was always a favorite past time. Spending time with her family and her 'fur' daughter Sandy is what filled her heart. She loved to cook and entertain. She could whip up a gathering in no time!

Barbara is the beloved mother to Jennifer (and the late Robbie) Lynch and Melissa (Jeff) Hamadyk. She kept a life-long friendship with the father of their children, Richard Fossett. Barbara is the most cherished grandmother (Maga) to Ashley, Lindsey, JJ, Christian and Madison. Mother to Sandy, her precious four legged companion. Devoted sister to Maureen Shalinsky, James Moloney and the late Michael Moloney. Adored daughter to the late Michael and Barbara Moloney. Barbara is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting hours for Barbara will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11803. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:15 AM at Our Lady of Mercy RC Church, 500 S Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.
