William S. Ellenburg Jr.

ELLENBURG, William S. Jr. – age 68 of Flushing, MI passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 12PM-2PM. A memorial service will be held at 2PM at Reigle Funeral Home- Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI. Bill was born on January 21, 1947 in Athens, AL to the late William and Geneva (Vinson) Ellenburg. He graduated from Bendle High School. Bill received his Master’s Degree from Adrian College. He was the captain of the wrestling team while he was there, and later inducted into the Adrian College Sports Hall of Fame. Bill taught for the Kearsley and Durand school districts. He coached baseball, wrestling, and football. Bill was an adventurous man. He loved the outdoors and camping. He literally traveled to all 50 states during his lifetime. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and spending time with his children. Surviving are his sons, Dean (Aprill) Ellenburg, and Jason (Sarah) Ellenburg; brothers, Tom (Ellen) Ellenburg, and Larry Ellenburg; nieces, Karrie and Kellie; and grand-niece, Justice; cousins and several other family members.
